What this demonstrates
Chess puzzles create a tight insight loop: the player scans the board, recognizes a pattern, executes the move, and gets immediate confirmation. The “aha” moment is the reward. Each puzzle uses a distinct tactical motif (back rank, smothered mate, knight geometry) to demonstrate how pattern libraries are the foundation of strategic game mastery. From a product standpoint, these are micro-challenges with clear success states — the same structure that powers onboarding flows and tutorial designs.
